Career ladders encourage employee engagement
Succession planning, career ladders, or training and investment, however you want to term it, it’s really important that you do it, here’s three reasons why:
- It shows your employees that they have a career with you, that they can progress, and that you are going to invest in that progression with them.
- It helps them to discover training and development opportunities, so they might not know what’s available to them. They might need some help to see what training will support them in their potential career with you.
- Succession planning is the biggest thing you can do to help with your employee engagement. Somebody who can see their future with you will be engaged today, tomorrow and for months to come.
