About CUBE HR

Our Story…

Having worked for one of the UK’s largest HR Outsourcing companies, Lisa knew businesses didn’t want faceless call centres and generic advice so built CUBE’s offering to ensure personalised service, with each client getting a dedicated HR expert.

We provide expert HR services for companies that are not large enough to have their own HR Department, but also partner with many organisations that do for additonal support. From contracts of employments and handbooks, advice on disciplinary issues, grievances and sickness, to the full employee experience of on-boarding, performance, reward, recognition, succession planning and full people strategy.

Our smallest client has 2 staff and our largest has 1500. We also undertake strategic work for global businesses and have provided project support for companies with 30,000 employees.

We’ve won multiple awards for our personalised support and customer service, and clients tell us we are a breath of fresh air.

After 19 years in the HR sector Lisa set up CUBE in 2017 after getting fed up with the corporate world’s lack of people focus.

We really like people, we love the complexity of employment law and we are fabulous at finding solutions.

We believe positive, pro-active HR results in:

  • Less energy wasted on conflict and conflict resolution
  • A better customer image – if your employees are smiling, so are your customers!
  • Keeping your business away from costly, time-consuming tribunals and protecting your reputation
  • Less time wasted by employees and management
  • Attracting the best people and supporting collaborative improvement
  • Easier recruitment and improved employee retention

Between us, there’s probably not much we haven’t come across in the world of HR…

from the simple to the complex, to the absolutely outrageous – there’s no challenge too big (or too small) and we pride ourselves on giving you practical advice and solutions that work with the challenges of your business.

We have an

This is our ethos and what we believe HR should be:

Hi there, I’m Lisa, proud to be at the helm of CUBE and our unique offering. I’ve worked in HR for over 19 years and I really enjoy what I do. The only thing I love more than HR is my family. I’m a mum to an 9-year old daughter. I like to have fun at work and outside of work and that’s another reason our clients love us. No boring HR service here.

I love employment law but make it easy for our clients to understand what I’m talking about, I’m a typical straight-talking northern lass. I’ve worked in many business sectors and I bet there is nothing you can throw at me that I haven’t dealt with before.

I’m a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and have a Masters in Human Resource Management and recently completed an MBA.

We take great pride in working with our clients to ensure they are not only compliant with employment legislation, but to also make them best in class. That’s why lots of our clients are award winning businesses.

Hi, I’m Claire, Lisa’s right hand lady. I’ve been part of the CUBE family since May 2019 and I honestly can’t think of anything else I’d rather be doing! Aside from my passion for HR, my world revolves around my family, friends and my American Bulldog, Barker Brown. I play netball twice a week (mainly for the laugh, rather than the exercise!) and have loved everything horse related since I was a kid.

I live my life by the value that kindness costs nothing, life can be challenging so why make it harder by being mean to others. My burning desire is to buy old buildings and renovate them to provide accommodation for homeless people.

I love people – understanding what makes them tick and how to effectively communicate. I have a very active brain that loves solving even the most seemingly complex problems – and believe me CUBE have seen some very strange and complex problems! I passed my CIPD Level 5 in July 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. I’m also incredibly proud to have won the BIBA Employee Hero Award for 2020 for the work I did during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I’ve been told by my clients that I’m the nicest HR person they’ve ever met – a dubious accolade but one I’ll take none-the-less!

Hi, I’m Stuart and I joined CUBE HR in January 2021. I’ve worked in various HR roles in a number of different organisations and sectors since 2004, including hospitality, education and social housing. I completed my CIPD Level 5 qualification at the University of Huddersfield back in 2010.

When I’m not working, you’ll either find me running and cycling somewhere around East Lancashire and beyond, or baking and eating cakes to help with essential refuelling.

I was born and raised in Yorkshire so value for money is important to me, as is family. My wife and two children are a huge part of my life and they help to motivate me in many ways to be the best I can be each and every day.

I have a keen eye for detail, I am solution focussed and I take pride in always treating people in the same manner that I would expect to be treated myself.

The best compliment I have ever received from a colleague was when they said, “every company needs a Stuart Wright”, if that was the case though there wouldn’t be much left of me to go around!

Hi, I’m Claire and I joined CUBE HR in October 2021. I’ve worked in HR since completing my CIPD Level 5 in 2016, mainly in the education sector. I’m excited about taking on this new challenge with CUBE HR and can’t wait to start meeting with clients. I live locally with my 2 children and 2 dogs – as with my colleagues, my family mean to world to me and are part of my internal desire to accomplish my goals.

I love nothing better than being outside, taking long walks with my dogs and enjoying the great outdoors.

I love to spend time with my family, whether it be at home watching a movie, or going on a day out. Exploring new, local walks has always been something we all enjoy.

I’m a huge advocate for increasing awareness and supporting mental well-being in the workplace and believe that implementing an effective workplace strategy makes all the difference to employee mental health.

I’m solution focussed, highly organised and enjoy any challenge that is sent my way.

Hi, I’m Sharlene and I joined CUBE HR in June 2022. I’ve worked in the retail industry for over 10 years in a customer focused role, and in more recent years as a payroll and admin assistant. I’m very excited to be progressing on my HR journey in my new role at CUBE HR as HR Administrator and I’m really keen to learn as much as I can about HR.

Being a mum to 4, I have a very nurturing side, I like everyone to feel that they are being treated fairly and with respect and this is one of the reasons HR intrigues me and why I’m so excited about my role and the opportunities it will bring – who knows, one day I may be your personal CUBE HR Consultant!
