With homeworking on the increase, we’re anticipating employers will start to receive home working requests from employee’s who’ve successfully been home working on a temporary basis and now want to make that arrangement more permanent.

Don’t forget every employee has the right to request flexible working (provided they’ve worked for you for 26 weeks) and you need to seriously consider requests to work from home, especially if employees can demonstrate they’ve been doing so without issue for the past few months. You also need to carry out a home working risk assessment as well as making sure you IT provision is up to the task.
