Award winning charity Advocacy Focus has launched a new podcast, FocusAF, which aims to provide listeners with information on current topics in an informal conversational format. Each episode of the podcast will be dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of subjects related to mental health and its impact in our communities, as well as exploring different areas of advocacy from lived experience and professional lenses.
The first episode in this brand new series features Stuart Wright from CUBE HR in conversation with Carolina de Almeida, Training Manager at Advocacy Focus as they discuss mental health in the workplace from an HR perspective. The podcast features Stuart sharing his own personal wellbeing story plus insight into what employers can do to look after the mental health of their team, what can go wrong if they don’t and some top tips to improve employee mental health and wellbeing.
Stuart said, “It was an absolute privilege to be asked to take part in Advocacy Focus’ new podcast series and I love working with Carolina as she is empathetic, authentic and a real force for good in the world. As an organisation Advocacy Focus are very much aligned with CUBE HR in how we feel about employee wellbeing and the importance of normalising conversations around mental health. Hopefully the podcast will give everyone an insight into what steps employers can take to support staff and some simple ideas that can make a genuine difference”.
