Health & Safety Services

health and safety

Our Health & Safety services are provided by RKMS, who work with companies of all sizes across many sectors enabling them to implement management systems, gain certification, up-skill their workforce and reduce costs within their organisation.

External Competent Health & Safety Person

Ideal if your business or organisation does not have the competence to manage health and safety in-house, for example, if it is large, complex/high risk or even if you don’t have the staff capability. Outsourcing your competent person not only gives you an outsider prospective on your processes and procedures but is more cost effective than a permanent H&S member of staff.

Fire Risk Assessment

You need to make sure a suitably competent person completes a Fire Risk Assessment. It is your duty to identify fire risks and hazards in your premises and take appropriate action.

In addition, if five or more people work at your premises or your business has a licence under enactment in force, you’ll need your fire risk assessment to be a written record. Make sure you review your risk assessment regularly and whenever significant changes have been made that would have an impact on it. It’s good business sense as well as a legal requirement, often businesses don’t recover after a fire, and effective fire prevention starts with properly understanding the risks.

Assessments & Training

RKMS regularly run courses at their state of the art training centre in Blackpool. If you prefer, they can come to you and deliver the training onsite for your convenience.

Example training courses include: Health & Safety In The Workplace Level 2 & 3, First Aid, Risk Assessment Training.

They can also carry out COSHH, Machinery, Activity, and On-Site Risk Assessments.
